Khaled Zeidan, Founder and Co-Creator

Khaled's love of martial arts began at a very young age. Growing up in Lebanon during times of civil unrest, when running around outside wasn't always an option, Bruce Lee movies and Tae Kwon Do were effective outlets to release some of his 10-year-old energy. As he grew, so did his interest in martial arts, expanding to include Western Boxing and Muay Thai. In 2001, Khaled moved to New York City where he worked retail by day and trained in mixed martial arts by night – eventually becoming an amateur Muay Thai fighter with a record of 7-0. He soon realized that martial arts and fitness could be his career and he decided to turn his passion into his profession. Khaled became certified as a personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and over time has added certifications in SFG, Precision Nutrition, Pilates and more. Today, his expertise is diverse and his training methods reflect this diversity. Khaled combines functional training, traditional strength training, cardio, martial arts, and nutrition, allowing the body to perform daily activities with ease, fluidity, strength, and confidence. His motto: sweat is earned from preparation, thought, action and intensity.

Sam Chew, Co-Creator

Sam Chew is always on the move. Growing up in the idyllic suburbs of California at a time when there was no internet, most of his days were spent outdoors: on bikes, on skateboards, on makeshift karts and sleds. Nowadays you’ll find him mashing through the concrete jungles of Manhattan on his fixie, pretty much the only way he gets around, ever on the lookout for places to climb, things to jump on and off of, and the perfect setup for his next gravity-defying Instagram post. Sam takes play seriously, and believes in recapturing the fun in fitness, both for himself and his clients. As a UCLA grad with a degree in psychology, he knows the importance of training with the right motivation. As a yoga instructor, he tempers the high intensity of workouts with the flexibility and balance needed to prevent injury. As a personal trainer at Equinox for more than ten years, he has coached people from all walks of life: celebrities to day traders to fashion gurus. And now, as co-creator of Fight To Be Fit, he brings the always-in-motion techniques of Muay Thai to professionals who desire to add value to their coaching and to individuals who are ready to up their personal fitness game. Sam is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and holds RKC, SFG, RYT, and a host of other certifications. His training philosophy is: find motivation, get organized, build discipline, get gritty, stay humble.
